Defender Series® single and double wall spill containers, available in both grade level and below grade models, provide a durable, easy-to-install, and simple-to-maintain and service spill containment solution for any environment and any application.
SPILL CONTAINMENT IS A DIRTY JOB
Defender Series® five-gallon spill containers combine years of knowledge and experience in forecourts across the globe to represent the best defense in spill containment. Proactively protecting a site from the dangers of fugitive emissions during fuel delivery can save station owners both time and money by avoiding remediation due to fuel leakage.
Variable Installation Height
Jobsites can throw anything at you. A variable installation height adjustment feature makes it easy to ensure proper installation height at grade level.
Compliance Testing
An integrated visual interstitial integrity monitor makes EPA-mandated 30-day visual inspections fast, clean, and easy.
Easy Drop Tube Removal
The drop tube riser adapter provides a clean sealing ledge for the drop tube gasket, ensuring a vapor tight seal and the ability to smoothly pull the drop tube and overfill prevention valve for maintenance.
Defender Series spill containers are available in both grade level and below grade level models to meet the needs of your application.
Below Grade Spill Containers
Double wall containment protected by a solid steel manway skirt. The flush fiberglass composite manway lid allows forecourt traffic to pass cleanly over top while a gasketed lock-down cover seals water out.

Water Intrusion
A visual inspection to ensure dry, liquid-free containment with no water intrusion.
Double wall spill containers include 11 internal gasketed seals to keep your spill containers dry.
Damage
A visual inspection to ensure there are no cracks or damage to the spill container.
The solid, one-piece, non-bellowed construction of both the primary and secondary spill container give them superior strength against forecourt traffic and ground movement.
Interstitial Integrity
A visual inspection for double wall spill containers to ensure the space between the primary and secondary is tight.
The I2 (interstitial integrity) monitor provides an oversized, easy-to-read dial that provides immediate confirmation of the integrity of the interstitial space with an optional electronic sensor option also available.
Added maintenance and service design features keep your spill containers in the ground for a long, long time.
Drop Tube Riser
The drop tube riser adapter provides a clean sealing ledge for the drop tube gasket, ensuring a vapor tight seal and the ability to cleanly and smoothly pull the drop tube and overfill prevention valve for maintenance.
Integrated Drain
A push-pull drain option allows the fuel delivery drivers to send any fuel overfill captured by the spill container during a drop into the tank.
Easy Updgrade
The thread-on base integrated into both the primary and secondary spill containers allow you to easily install and replace either container without having to break concrete should a breach occur or if you need to upgrade from single to double wall .
Approvals/Certifications
- UL Listed MH62435 (below grade, and grade level version with CI-GKT cover), ULC Listed (grade level CI-GKT versions only).
- CARB approved (grade level only).
- Cast-iron covers are engineered and tested to meet or exceed H20 and HS-20 load ratings.
- UL2447 listed for only those fuels formulated in accordance with 40CFR80, “Regulation of Fuels and Fuel Additives,” and meeting the following ASTM fuel specifications and blend limit:
- ASTM D975 diesel with or without biodiesel blends up to 5% (B5)
- ASTM D7467 diesel with biodiesel blends between 6% - 20% (B6 - B20)
- ASTM D4814 gasoline with ethanol blends up to 10% (E10)
- ASTM D5798 high-blend ethanol, with ethanol/gasoline blends between 51% - 83% (E51 - E83) - commercially known as “E-85”
- Mid-range ethanol, with ethanol/gasoline blends of ASTM D4814 and ASTM D5798 blends between 11% - 50% (E11 - E50)
- In addition to UL2447 listed fuels, the following fuels are also compatible:
- Biodiesel up to 5% B5
- Biodiesel up to 20% B20
- Biodiesel at 97%-100% B99/B100
- All ASTM biofuel blends

XXX = Containment Options
- 545 = Grade level single wall
- 555 = Grade level double wall
- 556 = Below grade double wall
Y = Interstitial Monitoring Options
- 0 = No sensor
- 1 = Visual monitor (float gauge)
- 2 = Electronic sensor monitor
