Franklin Fueling Systems, the world's leading provider of complete fueling systems, has solved, around the world, many problems with the water supply in containments chambers or replacement of damaged conventional hoods by providing entry boots that seal by electrofusion UPP.
As explained by the Commercial Manager of Franklin Fueling, Renato Finati, often due to the presence of high groundwater, water easily enters into the sumps through conventional sealing entry boots improperly installed or ruptured rubber hoods. As a final solution, Renato explains that UPP sealing entry boots have two sealing planes by electrofusion: between the wall of the sump and the entry boot and between the entry boot and HDPE pipe. By being welded by electrofusion process, the entry boots do not require any maintenance after correct installation, reducing costs and rework for maintenance.
The UPP sealing entry boots are provided at diameters of 32, 50, 63, 75, 90 and 110mm.
Franklin Fueling Systems, one of the largest fuel materials manufacturers in the world, owns the UPP brand and has domestic manufacturing of pipes with HDPE liner in EVOH. This liner has aimed to meet the latest version of the European standard EN14.125, which specifies the maximum permeability in primary piping of 0.2 g / m², about 10 times smaller than specified by the Brazilian NBR 14722.
According to the Commercial Manager of Franklin Fueling, Renato Finati, compliance to EN 14125 specification brings a huge gain to environmental preservation and reduce losses of financial value by product leakage and remediation process for contaminated soil. Renato also clarifies that the pipes with liner in EVOH are basic requirements of multinational companies such as Shell, Total, Texaco, BP, among others. The Franklin features primary UPP tubes with EVOH liner in the commercial diameters of 32, 50, 63, 90 and 110mm.
